Many people today are ready to use expensive cosmetics for beauty care. But the chemicals in them do more harm than good. Who doesn't want to have glowing skin at no extra cost?  You no longer have to go to beauty parlors to get beautiful and youthful skin.  The following are five kitchen ingredients that will help you get rid of dark skin and give your skin more color and radiance.


Honey can be used as an excellent cleanser if you are suffering from dry skin and acne problems. Honey can effectively heal acne and wounds, making the skin soft and smooth.

How to use : First, wash your face with lukewarm water. Apply honey on face and massage well. Then rinse with clean water and wipe off the water from the skin. Honey can be used two or three times a week.


Tomatoes are full of nutrients that promote healthy skin. Tomatoes, which are rich in vitamin C, fade dark spots on the face and soften rough skin.

How to use : Add one teaspoon of honey to three teaspoons of tomato juice, mix well and apply on face.  After 20 minutes, rinse with cold water. Doing this three times a week will help you to get rid of


Papaya is a great way to restore the skin's natural radiance. Papain, an enzyme found in papaya, has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It works effectively to hydrate the skin, retain hydration in the skin and improve tone.

How to use : Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice. Add two teaspoons of milk and one teaspoon of honey and mix well. Apply this mixture on your face and neck. After waiting for about 15 minutes, rinse with cold water. It can be applied once or twice a week.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is good for dry skin. Aloe vera contains vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and amino acids. Aloe vera has anti-bacterial properties and can help stave off acne.

How to use : Aloe vera gel can be mixed with a little rose water to remove wrinkles on the face. Apply this mixture on the face and neck, avoiding rubbing around the eyes. After 20 minutes, rinse with cold water. Do this once or twice a week for best results.


Cucumbers contain skin-friendly vitamins and nutrients that can help stave off skin problems. The antioxidants contained in cucumber brighten the skin.

How to use : Adding three teaspoons of cucumber juice and two teaspoons of lemon juice to the face is very beneficial for darkening and enhancing complexion. It can be applied twice a week.
